Prepare to relax, refresh and experience one of Prince Edward Island's most breath taking beaches as your PEI accommodation. Enjoy early morning strolls, afternoon sunbathing or sculpt giant sand castles with your kids on our quiet white sand dune beach.

It's easy to travel PEI so when you're ready for more holiday excitement head over to Cavendish PEI to see Anne of Green Gables House, amusement parks, family attractions and more.

"Piper Dune" is our restful and cozy vacation home (5 min to St. Peter's Bay). It's fully furnished with 3 bedrooms and sleeps 8 comfortably.

Cottage Dimensions

Kitchen 15.6 X 11.6 with an eat-in area, equipped with fridge, stove, microwave, propane BBQ (outside), dishes, cutlery, pots and pans, toaster, coffee maker, ice-cold natural healthy clean and clear drinking water from the taps. (Water source tested by Department of Fisheries Agriculture and Environment P.E.I.).

Living room, 24 X 12 ft with dining room table for 6 as well as two couches, satellite TV, VCR and DVD.

Bathroom, tub and shower. Also equipped with an outside shower for showering sand off your feet upon your return from the beach.

Three bedrooms with fresh linen and towels supplied. Master bedroom upstairs with walk out deck, 11.6 X 13.6 - 1 queen bed, 1 single bed and a closet.

Second bedroom upstairs 11 X 13.6 with window, 1 double bed, 1 single bed, night stand, dresser and closet.

Third bedroom on main level 11.8 X 6.8 with window, 1 double bed, night stand and dresser.

Sleeps 8 comfortably. Maid service every 7 days.

Reservation Information

2) A $450 deposit is required to hold reservation and is applied toward total amount due.

3) Remainder of balance due 45-days prior to arrival.

4) Payments can be made online - we will send you to our secure payment page to make a deposit should both parties agree after your reservation request is approved.

Piper Dune is located in small private subdivision with access to a large quiet beach with less tourist "beach traffic" then you'll find at Brackley, Stanhope, Basin Head, Lakeside, Dalvay, Chelton or at those Cavendish beach cottages, b&bs, inns, cabins, or hotel accomodations.

You and your family have many options to choose from while vacationing in PEI. Spend your time relaxing on the beach and playing in the sand dunes; you can visit some of PEI's historic tourist attractions like Founders' Hall, the Confederation Buildings or Anne of Green Gables House. You can rent bikes and cycle along the Confederation Trail; you can go horseback riding, sea kayaking or play golf at one of the many courses nearby. » 4 minute walk down short quiet lane-way filled with wild rose bushes to one of the most beautiful white sand beaches in PEI. Walk for miles in front of the high sand dunes or catch the breath taking sun rises and sun sets.

PEI Weather?

Summer on PEI is very pleasant, hot but rarely humid. Daytime temperatures in July & Aug. are usually in the mid-twenties °C (70°F) but can go as high as 32°C (90°F). The summer days on PEI are long and glorious. Autumn is clear and bright. September afternoons can be quite warm, but evenings are cooler. Temperatures range from 8 to 22°C (46 to 70°F). Spring is comfortable but often arrives late. May and early June temperatures range from 8 to 22°C (46 to 71°F). Short & Long Term Forcast.

Cheap fights to PEI are not easy to get but from time to time carriers offer specials or promotions on discount flights into Charlottetown... these deals can usually be found online:

• WestJet Airlines provides direct flights from Toronto on a year-round basis with additional flights from May to October. They also offer seasonal flights from Montreal. Getting To The Cottage?

By Air:
From -Yyg- Charlottetown Airport. Turn left when exiting airport onto Brackley Point Rd. go to the 1st set of lights and turn left. Follow to the next set of lights and go left again. This is St. Peters Rd (also called Highway #2 east), you'll pass Kentucky Fried Chicken on your right and be heading towards Mt. Stewart. Continue east on Highway #2 past road signs for Crowbush/Lakeside for approximately 7 km (2.5 kms after "Bristol" road sign) to St. Peters Harbour Rd. Turn left and continue down St. Peter's Harbour Rd to the very end (if you reach Morell you have gone past the St. Peters Harbour rd sign by 2 km). St. Peters Harbour rd is a paved road for 4.2 km but turns into a dirt road just before the cottage subdivision. Once you hit the dirt road, take the 5th lane on the left to number 71 Hidden Dunes Lane.

From Charlottetown:
Take highway 2 east towards Mt. Stewart. Continue east on Highway #2 past road signs for Crowbush/Lakeside for approximately 7 km (2.5 kms after "Bristol" road sign) to St. Peters Harbour Rd. Turn left and continue down St. Peter's Harbour Rd to the very end (if you reach Morell you have gone past the St. Peters Harbour rd sign by 2 km). St. Peters Harbour rd is a paved road for 4.2 km but turns into a dirt road just before the cottage subdivision. Once you hit the dirt road, take the 5th lane on the left to number 71 Hidden Dunes Lane.

By Car:
The Confederation Bridge spans the Northumberland Strait between Prince Edward Island and New Brunswick. The 12.9-km (9 mile) bridge is one of the longest continuous marine span bridges in the world. As you leave the Confederation Bridge in Borden PEI, take Highway #1 (Trans Canada) east towards Charlottetown - 40 minutes. Just after the town of Cornwall on Highway #1 east watch for signs to Souris. This will be a left turn at a set of traffic lights to take you to the Highway #2 ByPass. When you turn left, it is a very short drive before you will turn right on to the (Bypass Highway) to bypass Charlottetown. Take the bypass to St. Peters Rd (also called Highway #2 east) it's a left hand turn at the 4th set of lights. You'll pass a Kentucky Fried Chicken on your right and be heading towards Mt. Stewart. By Ferry: Northumberland Ferries Ltd., a seasonal ferry service, travels between Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia from early May to mid December. Take Wood Islands Ferry across route #315 north to Montague, take route #4 north to #313 north, turn left on #321 to #2, make a left turn on #2 west past Morell to road sign (St. Peters Harbour) turn right and continue down St. Peter's Rd to the very end. This is paved road for 4.2 km but turns into a dirt road just before the cottage subdivision. Take the 5th lane on the left down to the end, number 71 Hidden Dunes Lane.
